Welcome to e health forum.

Any loss of pregnancy within the first 20 weeks of pregnancy is called Miscarriage. Such miscarriage is seen in about 10-23% of pregnancies.

Most miscarriages occur within the 12 weeks of pregnancy and are caused due to abnormal chromosomes of the baby.

Miscarriages which occur from the 13th week onwards is usually associated with medical issues related to the mother.

For most women, a miscarriage is a one-off event and they go on to have a successful pregnancy in the future.

In case of recurrent pregnancy losses, it would be recommended that the couple get a complete medical assessment to rule out anatomic weakness of the uterus, genetic disorders, autoimmune conditions (anti-phospholipid syndrome), Hormonal imbalances (Hypothyroidism), etc.

If a woman has recurrent miscarriages and is planning to concieve or has already is pregnant now, and wants a safe pregnancy, proper planning and continuous monitoring by a trained OB-GYN is required to handle such priority cases so as to adequate precautions can be taken in the next pregnancy.

Without such a approach, the risk of miscarrying again would be high. Hence it would be recommended to consult your doctor again and seek a proper medical opinion.

I hope this helps.
